Technical Lead – Backend & Cloud
We are hiring a hands-on Technical Lead – Backend & Cloud with 5+ years of software development experience and 1–2 years of technical leadership experience. Strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL, Azure, Docker, CI/CD and production systems is required. The candidate will own backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, production deployments and technical delivery while guiding web and mobile developers.
📍 This is an on-site role based in Gurugram (Sector 49), India. Candidates must already be based in or willing to relocate to India at their own cost, and must hold work authorization for India — we are unable to sponsor visas or relocation for this position.
We are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead – Backend & Cloud to take ownership of our existing product, backend systems, cloud infrastructure and production deployments. The role requires strong backend development experience along with practical knowledge of cloud infrastructure, DevOps, databases and technical team leadership. This is a hands-on technical leadership position, not a purely managerial role. The selected candidate will work closely with web and mobile developers and will be expected to independently manage technical challenges and project delivery whenever required.
- ✓ Lead and technically guide web and mobile developers.
- ✓ Develop and maintain Node.js and Express.js backend services.
- ✓ Manage Prisma, Zod, REST APIs and backend architecture.
- ✓ Manage PostgreSQL databases, migrations, permissions and optimization.
- ✓ Manage Azure Cloud, Linux servers, Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
- ✓ Handle staging and production deployments.
- ✓ Troubleshoot backend, database, server, API and deployment issues.
- ✓ Manage Redis, application performance, security and third-party integrations.
- ✓ Review code, pull requests, architecture and release readiness.
- ✓ Prepare technical documentation and deployment handover.
- ✓ Own end-to-end project delivery, from development through production deployment.
- → 5+ years of hands-on software development experience, preferably in backend and cloud engineering.
- → 1–2 years of hands-on Technical Lead, Backend Lead or Team Lead experience.
- → Strong hands-on experience in Node.js and Express.js.
- → Strong knowledge of Prisma, Zod, REST APIs and backend architecture.
- → Strong PostgreSQL and SQL knowledge.
- → Hands-on experience with Azure Cloud and Linux servers.
- → Strong experience with Docker, Docker Compose and CI/CD.
- → Experience managing production applications and deployments.
- → Hands-on experience with Redis, Git, GitHub and code reviews.
- → Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- → Ability to independently manage, maintain and improve an existing production project.
- → Immediate joiners will be strongly preferred. Candidates with a maximum notice period of 15 days may also be considered.
- → This is a hands-on backend and cloud engineering leadership role. Candidates with experience limited to frontend development, Flutter, basic Node.js development or non-technical management will not be considered.
